The LSCO Presents an evening of Dixieland and Ragtime

In collaboration with the Duluth Superior Ragtime Society, LSCO members and friends will present an evening of Dixieland and Ragtime Music. See and hear the extraordinary musicianship of LSCO musicians as they perform a variety of music from the Dixieland and Ragtime Eras.

LSCO Musicians Benefit Concert

Thursday, July 18, 7:30 pm

LSCO musicians will be donating their time and talent to raise funds for the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra. Conductor Keith Swanson will lead the orchestra in Rossini’s Overture to the Italian in Algiers and local composer Brad Bombardier’s XXV. Also featured will be The Highland String Quartet and chamber ensembles comprised of LSCO musicians.

 

The Quartet Project

Thursday, July 25, 7:30 pm

Conductor Peter Swanson will lead the orchestra in several pieces, including a composition by local composer Mina Kaiser. Featured on the concert will be high school musicians from the Quartet Project, which the LSCO has sponsored for more than 20 years. Hear the Quartet project students play side by side with the LSCO and come early to hear lobby performances of individual quartets comprised of participating students.

The LSCO Presents Erin Aldridge and DeAnn Letourneau

Thursday, August 1, 7:30 pm

Join DSSO Concertmaster Erin Aldridge and Las Vegas Philharmonic Concertmaster DeAnn Letourneau for an evening of violin solos and chamber music. Superior native Letourneau has thrilled LSCO audiences in the past with her virtuosic performances. UWS professor Aldridge returns as a soloist on the LSCO stage, where she has presented standing ovation performances.
