Committees

The organization is inviting community members to become more involved behind the scenes to boost these initiatives, continue the LSCO legacy, and forge a bright path forward!

Music supporters and advocates are encouraged to apply for volunteer leadership opportunities, including joining the newly established Youth Engagement Committee, or enlisting in newly created Ambassador roles. Becoming Board Members and volunteering as Development & Engagement Committee Members are still great opportunities that we would welcome potential team members to consider.

The LSCO looks forward to welcoming passionate individuals who want to help strengthen and shape the future of music in the Twin Ports community for all ages.

Development & Engagement Committee

Strategic thinkers and go-getters that offer their skills, experience, and connections to sustain and grow the organization and mission. Committee task forces may include: Board recruitment, retention, and transitions; fundraising efforts and advancement; internal process reviews, research, and recommendations; improvements in audience and community engagement and satisfaction; as well as special events and campaigns.

Youth Engagement Committee (NEW!)

A group of community members with a shared passion of fostering youth’s engagement with the arts. This committee helps outreach to local partners and mission-focused organizations to carry out these efforts. This group’s primary way of accomplishing this goal is via supporting the Quartet Project Coordinator’s vision for the LSCO’s summer program and collaborations (such as with the Wirth Center’s Young Artist Piano Camp).

Ambassador Committee (NEW!)

Loyal cheerleaders of the LSCO who join forces to help the LSCO by assisting with operational tasks, boots-on-the-ground promoting needs and networking, and mission advocation.

Artistic Committee

An invite-only committee dedicated to supporting the artistic vision of the Music Director.

Board of Directors

Believers of the LSCO’s mission and value, members of the LSCO Board of Directors share responsibility for governance and oversight of the organization, including fiscal stewardship, long-range strategic leadership and planning, policy governance, contract approval, fundraising and marketing, concert planning, and public relations. As fiduciaries, board members ensure LSCO fulfills its mission with financial integrity and high-quality artistic and educational programming.
